I've always been active. I played soccer at 3, later became a lifeguard, played the trombone in high school, and competed in various track and field events. My favorite memory was being part of the 4x400m relay team.
I had a full-time job that turned me on to cigarettes back in 2015. Long hours in the cold and a bad fall at work had severely impacted my fitness. Depressed and frustrated, I discovered CrossFit. Immediately after my first CrossFit class I went into my car, grabbed the half-smoked pack of cigarettes, and threw them away. That day, back in 2015, was the day I decided to take my life back.
CrossFit has become an essential part of my life, which I rely on to feel better. There's nothing more satisfying than seeing how CrossFit can transform the lives of others and being able to support them along their journey has changed my own life, attitude, and perspective. It's a privilege to witness the progress of the members I coach, and it always fills me with excitement to see the positive changes they make.
